ABOUT TASTE OF WAYNE COUNTY

The Village of Newark, the Greater Newark Chamber of Commerce and the Wayne County Farm Bureau are excited to announce Taste of Wayne County 2024. Mark your calendars for the 6th Taste of Wayne County to be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 4:30 to 8:00 PM along Van Buren Street and in T. Spencer Knight Canal Park in Newark.  Food-related businesses from around Wayne County will be offering samples of signature dishes, food products or beverages.  Live entertainment will be provided during the event.

Online vendor registration is open now!  Click here to register. 

Presale tickets are currently available online and will be available after June 1 at the Newark Welcome Center on the corner of Van Buren Street and East Avenue. 

​

Event tickets include 15 sample tickets, an event glass and an event utensil:

Presale: $15

At event: $20

​

Individual sample tickets will be available at the event for $2.00 each ($1.00 if you purchased a full event ticket and need a few extras), but will not come with an event glass.

Embers Rising Farm (formerly Syrup A'LaRue) is joining TOWC again this year.  Embers Rising Farm makes delicious treats from sap harvested both Wayne and Ontario!  Come see what they have to offer.

Erie Shore Landing

Located along VanBuren Street facing the canal in Newark, Erie Shore Landing opened in 2019 and features a from-scratch cafe' and an ice cream shop.

Main Street Restaurant, on the corner of Main and Union in Newark opened in 2020 and after winning Best of TOWC last year are excited to return in 2023.

The Saltbox Smokehouse

The Saltbox Smokehouse, located in Sodus, makes its first TOWC in 2023.  The Saltbox offers an array of cured and smoked meats including 15 varieties of bacon!

Collectibles

Pop's House of Country Collectibles, located in Sodus Point, joins TOWC for the again this year, offering samples of Ruth's delicious pies and casseroles.

Country Patch Canning

A Marion couple has perfected recipes for salsa and other condiments and established Country Patch Canning to market them.

DisBatch Brewing Co.

A brewery and taproom located in Macedon is joining TOWC for the first time in 2023.  Great beer and good conversation!

Fair-style lemonade is so refreshing!  Come try out this local start-up's fresh squeezed goodness at TOWC 2023!

Westside Fuel, Inc.

Westside Fuel is not just a gas station!  It has a full kitchen serving breakfast, lunch and dinner!  They will be joining TOWC for the first time this year

For the first time in a couple of years, Riblicious BBQ will bring their amazing BBQ ribs to TOWC!  If you haven't caught up with them at a local festival or food truck faire, come see what they have to offer!

Sugar and Slice Pizzeria

Sugar and Slice opened in Newark shortly after TOWC 2022, making 2023 their second appearance at the event!    From sweet treats to pizza, they have something for everyone!

Riley's Bar & Grill

Located on the east side of the Bay Bridge at the end of Sodus Bay, Riley's will join TOWC again this year!  Last year they were a fan favorite - come see what they create this year!

Doyle Farms, located on Ridge Road west of Wolcott, offers homemade ice cream (including vegan varieties), from-scratch baked goods and a fresh-from-the farm cafe' menu.  They join TOWC for the first time in 2023!

First Glass Wine Bar

First Glass Wine Bar at Doug Kent's Rose Bowl Lanes in Newark will be joining TOWC again this year, despite being closed in July and August for renovations.

Chocolate-covered frozen cheesecake on a stick!  Dandy Sandy's frozen treats are a favorite at TOWC every year - this year will be no exception!

Big Tim's Popcorn

Locally grown red popcorn that pops into big, fluffy white kernels is the specialty of Big Tim's, as well as popcorn seasonings.  Big Tim's joins TOWC for the first time in 2023.

Fowler Farms

Fowler Farms, joining TOWC for the first time, is a sixth generation commercial apple operation with headquarters in Wolcott. The Fowler family farms over 2000 acres through out northern Wayne County.  Fowler Farms manages all stages of the growing process starting with rootstock all the way through packaging apples for consumers.
